Description

Taking the place of the departed Washington Senators, the 1961 installment participated in the first-ever expansion draft (along with the Los Angeles Angels) and performed at Griffith Stadium for their first and only season. The offered OAL Cronin baseball is autographed by (26) members of that 1961 “reincarnation” of the Washington Senators. The clean near-white sphere (grade “8-9”) is home to powerful blue ballpoint pennings that project (“9”) strength and clarity throughout. Includes: Sweet Spot: Hemsley (coach) and Case (coach); North Panel: Hinton, unidentified, Maloney, Kutyna, Veal and Gabler; South Panel: King, O’Connell, Woodling, Woodeshick, Klippstein and Hudson (coach); West Panel: Keough, Klaus, Hobaugh, Donovan and Daley; East Panel: D. Sisler, Long, Green, Burnside, McClain and Bright; Opposite Sweet Spot: Vernon (manager). Full photo LOA from James Spence Authentications.
