Discarding his green uniform for greener pastures, Hall of Famer Catfish Hunter took his pitching prowess to Yankee Stadium, where he wore this New York Yankees warm-up jacket during the late-1970s. The navy-blue nylon button-down garment features “NY” sewn to the left breast in white twill and a 3-5/8”-diameter team logo patch sewn to the left sleeve. There are two front pockets, and blue-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the collar, waistline and sleeve endings. Within the collar, a “Felco” label denotes “Officially Licensed by the New York Yankees” and is accompanied by a size “L” tag and a laundering instructions tag. The latter item has a vintage black marker notation of “29” on the reverse and a period laundering tag (inscribed “CAT”) affixed via safety pin. Moderate wear. Full photo LOA from Dave Miedema.
