While the temperament of Ty Cobb as a ball player is the subject of much scrutiny, the "behind the scenes" philanthropy of the Hall of Famer is often overlooked. Presented is a circa 1950s Ty Cobb (d.1961) signed 6x9 postcard of the Cobb Memorial Hospital in Royston, Georgia, erected in memory of his parents. The postcard was manufactured by Frashers Fotos of California. The green steel-tip fountain pen script is placed directly above the medical center with the autograph presenting ("8") attributes. The full-bleed correspondence item is otherwise unmarked and has sustained minimal exterior wear. Full photo LOA from JSA.
