Description

In a bid for the franchise’s first string of three straight non-losing seasons since 1933, the 1954 Washington Senators logged a whopping 69 complete games, but failed to reach the aforementioned goal, as they dropped 29 one-run games. The offered OAL Harridge sphere is signed by (26) members of that ’54 Senators club. The creamy orb (grade “6-7”) features black-ink pennings that average (“6”) quality (with a few nicer). Includes: Sweet Spot: B. Harris (manager) and Myatt (coach); North Panel: Porterfield, Terwilliger, Pesky, Snyder, Vernon and Busby; South Panel: Oldis, Killebrew (debut season), Lemon, Stone, Stobbs, Shea and Schmitz; West Panel: Paula, Fitzgerald, Dietzel, Korcheck, Marrero and Yost; East Panel: Manush (coach), Pascual, Stewart, Haynes (coach) and Runnels. Full photo LOA from James Spence Authentications.
