The 1936 New York Yankees captured their fifth World Series title by besting the cross-town Giants in a six game series. Presented is an interesting 21-1/2 x 14 matted display that includes an 8x10 team composite wire photo and the 1936 winter addresses for the squad. The black-and-white picture displays mild creasing and surface contusions. The 1936 winter addresses reveals the typed contact information of each member for the team on a 7-1/4 x 10 page. Several players had their addresses crossed out with a pencil. Imagine the excitement from baseball fans if this address list had been published at that time? Also present is a 7x9 Associated Press wire photo depicting seven stars at the foot of the Yankee dugout including Dickey, DiMaggio and Gehrig (EX, bold citation stampings on reverse). This piece is suitable for framing.
