Description

Bleeding “Dodger Blue” by his own admission, Hall of Famer Tommy Lasorda followed his brief and less-than-stellar pitching career by piloting the Dodgers to four pennants and two World Series titles. This jacket was worn by the Chavez Ravine mentor during the early portion of his managerial career. The blue satin-like zippered garment features “Dodgers” angled across the chest in white twill, the script-style team name accented by a lengthy paraph. Arched atop the back, “LASORDA” appears in white twill block-style characters. Blue-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the 3-1/4”-wide collar, waistline and sleeve endings. The fur-lined garment features two front pockets, and the collar is home to a “W.A. Goodman & Sons” size “44” label and a cloth hanger. Moderate wear. Full photo LOA from Dave Miedema.
