Description

Worn by Bronx performers during a rare lull in pinstriper fortunes, these (4) New York Yankees apparel items exhibit evidence of outstanding game wear. Included are (3) jerseys with proper tagging and twill identifiers and a cap with the traditional “NY” logo. These were donned by: Hal Morris 1989-1990 game-worn road jersey; Clay Parker 1990 game-worn home jersey; Dan Pasqua 1985 game-worn road jersey; 1989-1991 Game-Worn Cap. Individual full photo LOAs from Dave Miedema. Complete details on our website.

Hal Morris 1989-1990 New York Yankees Game-Worn Road Jersey a gray knit button-down garment with “NEW YORK” arched across the chest in blue-on-white double tackle twill and “62” sewn to the back in like fashion. Blue-and-white striped stretch knit lines the sleeve endings and the cotton-lined collar is home to a swatch tag with chain-stitched identifiers of “Morris 89 1.” On the tapered left front tail, a “Wilson” label is accompanied by a size “44” flap tag and an additional tag reading “BX.” Moderate wear is evident with puckering about the twill elements. Of note is that the jersey was tailored for Morris in 1989 but likely worn by another player (Morris had worn “62” as a late-season call-up in 1988, but wore “21” in 1989). The jersey saw subsequent use by an unidentified Yankee in 1990, as an imprint of the Billy Martin “1” memoriam patch is evident on the left sleeve.

Dan Pasqua 1985 New York Yankees Game-Worn Road Jersey a gray knit button-down garment with “NEW YORK” arched across the chest in blue-on-white double tackle twill and “21” sewn to the back in like fashion. Blue-and-white striped stretch knit lines the sleeve endings and the cotton-lined collar is home to a swatch tag with chain-stitched identifiers of “Pasqua 85 1.” On the tapered left front tail, a “Wilson” label is accompanied by a partially frayed flap tag reading “Tapered.” The all-original diamond apparel shows light wear and the Pete Sheehy armband has been removed from the left sleeve.

Clay Parker 1990 New York Yankees Game-Worn Home Jersey a white knit button-down garment with a blue pinstriped pattern, “NY” sewn to the left breast in blue twill and “38” sewn to the back in like fashion. The cotton-lined collar is home to a swatch tag with chain-stitched identifiers of “Parker 90 2.” On the tapered left front tail, a “Wilson” label is accompanied by flap tags respectively denoting size “42” and “Tapered.” The all-original jersey shows light wear and the Billy Martin “1” memoriam patch has been removed from the left sleeve.

1989-1991 New York Yankees Game-Worn Cap a blue wool accessory with the traditional “NY” logo embroidered (in white) to the front center. The six-point crown suspension’s interior is lined with a sweatband that is home to a “New Era” label. On the bill’s underside, a black marker notation of “42” limits the cap’s owner to either Dave LaPoint (1989-1990) or John Habyan (1991). The New Era tag design and lack of an MLB silhouette logo narrows the manufacture to 1989-1991.
