A performer for Cleveland’s Naps and Brooklyn’s Superbas, former shortstop Dolly Stark handled this Hillerich & Bradsby professional model bat during his four-year big league career. Turned during the 1910-1915 labeling period, the (33.9-oz/34-1/2”) high-grade ash weapon features a dark brown finish and a lengthy handle crack that approaches the “dash-dot-dash” center brand. Near the hitting surface, “Stark” is barely legible as part of the grease pencil side writing requesting additional models. There is minimal chipping/separation along the edge of the Hornsby-style knob. Auction LOA from John Taube, PSA/DNA.
