Description
The lone big league team to endure the 1960s without a losing season, the San Francisco Giants contended annually. The 1961 season was no exception, as the Giants held the top spot entering June and scored a league-best 772 runs. This NL Giles orb was signed by (30) members of that squad. The medium-toned ball (grade “5-6”) has applications of period shellac and ballpoint signatures averaging (“7-8”) quality. Keys include: Cepeda, Dark (manager), Kuenn, Mays and McCovey.
