Long since retired as a Giant who starred on both coasts, Hall of Famer Willie Mays continued to offer tutelage to Giants of a younger generation. The offered glove was used by Mays in that capacity during the club’s 1988 spring training session. This Louisville Slugger “125” right-handed leather fielder’s model features Mays’ famous “24” inscribed in black marker on four separate spots. Light use is evident with wear about the pocket. Accompanying is a COA on Giants letterhead. Mays also penned the webbing on the glove in black Sharpie, with the autograph registering a ("5-6") autograph strength. Auction LOA from James Spence Authentications.
