As Bucky Harris took the reins from Joe Cronin in 1935, the Washington Senators struggled to a second-division finish for a second straight season following their third and final postseason appearance. The offered ball is signed by (22) of those 35 Senators. The medium-toned sphere (grade 5) is the canvas for blue-ink fountain pen scriptings that average (4) strength, with a few nicer. Among the legible penning are those of Bluege, Hadley, Harris (manager, 4), Kress, Kuhel, Miles, Myer, Russell, Schulte, Starr, Stone, Strange and Whitehill (sweet spot, 6). Full photo LOA from James Spence Authentications (cert/hologram #X00944).
