Former slugger Barry Bonds was issued this Pittsburgh Pirates warm-up jacket during the early portion of his controversial career. The black satin-like button-down garment features “PIRATES” embroidered across the chest in yellow-on-white twill and a team logo patch sewn to the left sleeve. Black-and-yellow striped stretch ribbed cotton lines the collar, waistline and sleeve endings and “Starter” labels reside within the collar and left front tail’s interior. Just below the above-mentioned labels, black marker notations of “24” appear. These identifiers, coupled with the logo patch, date the jacket to 1987-1992. Minimal wear is evident.
