An unlikely hero of Brooklyn’s long-awaited and lone World Series conquest in 1955, veteran hurler Johnny Podres again took the spotlight eight Octobers later as he mowed down the Bronx Bombers in Game 2 of the 1963 Fall Classic at hallowed Yankee Stadium. Encapsulated and Graded EX-MT 6 by PSA, this full ticket was issued at “The House That Ruth Built” for that Podres mound gem. The colorful “Upper Stand” voucher features the hosts’ “Top Hat” logos and printed seating and event legends. With rounded corners and sturdy perforations, the item presents beautifully with very minor edge wear preventing even higher technical assessment. The Dodgers, incidentally, never trailed during a four-game sweep of the Yanks that year.
