With the stroke of his weighty pen, George Herman Babe Ruth turned a humble Spalding Professional baseball into an incredible historic keepsake. The red-stitched sphere was carefully inscribed with a blue steel-tip fountain pen that spans over two inches across the sweet spot. Despite mild abrasions and contusions on each panel along with mild soiling, the well defined Murderers' Row autograph has survived the decades in remarkable condition. The quotation surrounding Ruth’s moniker indicates this piece was endorsed prior to 1928. The black trademark stampings are bold. Previously encapsulated by PSA/DNA with a signature grade of (“7”) and a ball grade of ("4") for an overall grade of ("6"), the autograph strength presents much nicer. Being that authentic Ruth material is in perpetual demand, this cornerstone relic is ideal for Hall of Fame collectors and autograph investors alike. Full photo LOA from PSA/DNA.
