His team’s fortunes soaring after relocation to the Twin Cities, Hall of Famer and “Bonus Baby” Harmon Killebrew administered significant damage with this Hillerich & Bradsby (32.8-oz/34”) “D2” signature model weapon during the early-1960s. The uncracked high-grade ash lumber is also decorated with Killebrew’s blue Sharpie autograph (inscribed “HOF ‘84”), which resonates (“10”) strength and clarity just below the defined barrel stampings. Matching team index orders in the Kentucky-based plant’s factory records, this fence-clearing relic was turned during the 1961-1964 labeling period and shows medium use with ball, cleat and deeply embedded stitch marks about the hitting surface. Graded A6 by MEARS. Full photo LOA from MEARS (for bat authentication); auction LOA from JSA (for autograph).
