Strikeout artist Dwight Gooden wore and signed this New York Mets warm-up jacket as the club reigned supreme in the mid-1980s. The blue knit zippered garment features an “NY” logo sewn to the left breast in orange pile on blue twill, “GOODEN” embroidered across the back in orange-on-white block-style characters, and “16” sewn to the left sleeve in like fashion. On the right front, Gooden’s blue marker signature shows (“8”) strength. Moderate wear. Auction LOA from JSA (for autograph).

Blue-orange-and-white striped stretch ribbed cotton comprises the 4”-wide collar, waistline and sleeve endings and a “Starter” size “L” tag resides within the collar. Additionally, a fabric content flap tag is sewn within the left side seam. Also included is a "Saranac" white leather batting glove with a Mets logo on the Velcro wrist fastener. Shows game use.
